From the President

2009 is well under way, and I'm excited for the year. We have some good stuff happening this year to build on our accomplishments last year. I'll tell you what's coming, but first a brief recap.

Perhaps the key feature of 2008 was improved scalability to better utilize multiple processors and handle larger databases. We upgraded technology from a single to a multi- threaded database providing better responsiveness to all users. We also delivered a number of UI improvements, including the ability to mark a file for later import. Read the SnapshotCM Change List for more details.

Our feature article this month introduces the Product Line concept. In the coming months, we will explore product lines, look at how to best use version control for software product lines, and eventually introduce you to new features of SnapshotCM.
