Moving Projects Between Servers

Occasionally we’ve been asked about moving a project from one SnapshotCM database to another. Sometimes the goal has been to merge two SnapshotCM databases into one. Other times it has been to split a SnapshotCM database into two. And we’ve always had to suggest other ways to accomplish their goal.

Well no more! We now have the ability to copy or move a project from one SnapshotCM database to another. Available by special request from True Blue Software support, the new cmarchive command can export a project from one database, and then import that project into another database.

If this is something you need, just send us e-mail.

We hope you’ve found this note useful.

Until next time.

Recent Customer Quotes:

  • BTW, I love your new display of the projects! The "collapsed" view is absolutely WONDERFUL :-)
  • I just installed 1.79 and it [the collapsed release graph] is just fantastic! Thanks a lot!

New SnapshotCM Data Sheet

We are working on a new SnapshotCM data sheet describing, in two pages, the major features of SnapshotCM. If you’d like to preview a copy, send us an e-mail. Otherwise, look for it on our web site in a few weeks.
