Release Highlights

The SnapshotCM 1.77.01 and 1.77.02 releases fix a few defects reported by customers and increase the product stability. We recommend that everyone update to 1.77.02 at your earliest convenience.

Here are the problems fixed in 1.77.01:

• GUI: Update selected was updating everything.
• Server: Critical race condition where one thread can close a file open in another thread. This can result in broken check outs, and perhaps worse.
• Clients: Race condition with temporary files where multiple commands might use same temp file name. Must run multiple commands at one time to see this.

Release 1.77.02 adds a few additional fixes and improvements:

• GUI: Add new File Status and Lock Comment columns to workspace browser. Right-click on column header to enable.
• TkDiff: Update to latest TkDiff version which fixes a number of problems.
• Wci: default to update the local file after a check in (to refresh any keywords). Add new option to get old behavior.
• Server: Fix to re-enable background compression of large files.
• Fix a couple of crashes and transient errors.
