SnapshotCM Tips and Tricks

  • You can invoke the standard "Open With" dialog by holding the shift key down while pressing the View button in the Active History dialog. Normally, the default tool is used to open the file based on the file type, while "Open With" alllows you to select the tool to use. This feature is new with 1.73.04.

  • Command Highlight: The cmacl command provides the ability to view and modify any of the Access Control Lists (ACLs) in SnapshotCM. Cmacl can add or remove account entries from ACLs, reset ACLs, add permissions to existing ACL entries, and more. With cmacl, you can easily record the ACLs and audit them for changes, create batch programs to modify a group of ACLs and more.
